Java plugin software enables users to direct Java applets on
their intranet web pages to run using a more recent version
of Sun's Java Runtime Environment (JRE), instead of the
browser's default runtime. This enables an user to deploy
Java technology-enabled applets that take full advantage of
the latest capabilities and features of the Java platform
and be assured that they will run reliably and consistently.
Under IRIX the Netscape browser (Navigator) has built-in a
default version of Java, JDK(tm) 1.1.5. Navigator will not
allow user to deploy Java applets whose JRE is more recent
than 1.1.5. To overcome this problem, a Navigator plugin
was developed that allow the user to take advantage of any
version of the JRE.
Note: Packaged with your software is a separate sheet that
contains the Software License Agreement. Please take
a few moments to review the Agreement.
